What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Coordinator position at Federal Screw Works?
A Tier 1 automotive parts supplier, located in Western Wayne County, has an immediate opening in a manufacturing environment for an Administrative Coordinator responsible for purchasing, payroll processing, and other administrative functions. The candidate must be a detail-driven and highly organized individual, able to work in a fast-paced plant/manufacturing environment. Essential functions and responsibilities will include:
Purchasing
- Responsible for the strategic and tactical procurement of commodities, supplies, and services to be used by the Division.
- Negotiate contractual terms regarding cost, delivery, quality, transportation, and other standard or special contract terms.
- Communication with suppliers/vendors regarding the status of orders.
- Maintain purchase price and raw material price trends and analysis.
- Maintains purchase order files (i.e., quotes, blanket orders, prints, design changes, etc.) to support the plant’s quality system requirements.
- Responsible for minority sourcing.
- Maintain office equipment, inventory, supplies; evaluate new office products.
Payroll
- Process and monitor weekly payroll in ADP system for Union hourly employees ensuring accuracy and timeliness of processing.
- Record and track hourly attendance on a daily basis.
- Comprehensive understanding of the Collective Bargaining Agreement where it pertains to payroll and attendance-related rules and policies.
- Creating and/or maintaining reports on a daily, weekly, monthly or yearly basis as necessary.
Administrative
- Various HR related duties, such as, but not limited to, record retention, filing, employee relations, benefits, and training.
· Onboarding of new hourly employees to include posting ads, interviewing, and orientation with essential safety training.
- Facilitate IT related service requests and assist vendor in troubleshooting remotely.
· Event/luncheon planning.
- MSDS tracking.
May be required to learn duties of other positions to provide backup as necessary.
Qualifications
- Minimum Associate’s Degree or 3 years experience.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel & Word and ability to learn job specific software.
- Able to walk, climb, lift 30 lbs, and assist in handling parts in plant environment as necessary.
- ADP Payroll system experience a plus.
