We are looking for a passionate Mechanical CAD Designer to become a part of our growing team. As a Mechanical Designer, you will be responsible for using specialized software to create drawings or 3D models for mechanical designs, iterating drafts based on feedback, optimizing file layouts, and collaborating with team members throughout project development cycles. You will play a key role in communicating with stakeholders to understand project needs and scope and providing ongoing support after project completion or launch.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Creating drawings of new mechanical systems or components, using computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Assist in selecting materials, equipment, and processes that will be used in the manufacturing process
- Developing detailed drawings of new products that include lists of materials needed, step-by-step instructions on how to manufacture the product, and a list of any equipment required for assembly
- Conducting feasibility studies for new designs based on the requirements and specifications
- Create a detailed design documentation
QUALIFICATIONS
- A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
- Or, candidate's bachelor or masters in mechanical engineering
- Experience in computer-aided design software such as AutoCAD or Solidworks
- Experience in aerospace, aerodynamics, or aircraft airframe design is a plus
- At least 2-4 years of working experience
- An ability to create industry-specific products
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and an excellent understanding of mathematics
- Flexibility and a willingness to adapt and embrace changes
- Must be willing to work in a hybrid setup, 2 days a week in the office - located in Monterey, CA
