Key Responsibilities
- Assist in updating drawings utilizing SolidWorks.
- Support creation and maintenance of Bills of Materials (BOMs), part specifications, and configuration control documentation.
- Perform part research and assist in evaluating alternate component options.
- Record test results, anomalies, and support root cause and corrective action (RCCA) activities.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering and Supplier Quality to troubleshoot build issues.
- Review supplier datasheets and manufacturing guidelines to ensure alignment with design intent.
- Participate in Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Test (DFT) reviews.
- Identify documentation gaps or process inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
- Exposure to aerospace/defense hardware development lifecycle
- Understanding FEA and manufacturing considerations
- Experience with engineering change control and documentation
- Hands-on familiarity with test equipment, data logging, and analysis- Collaboration with suppliers and cross-functional teams
- Working toward a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with PCB layout tools (Altium, KiCad, OrCAD).
- Soldering or hardware prototyping experience.
- Exposure to configuration control processes.
- Interest in aerospace or mission-critical electronics.
- Detail-oriented and curious, eager to learn.
- Comfortable iterating and receiving feedback.
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
