What are the responsibilities and job description for the Site Safety Coordinator position at FDR Safety?
FDRsafety is seeking a Site Safety Coordinator to oversee a 1-year project in Oklahoma City, OK. This position is anticipated to start immediately and will be scheduled to work on a Monday-Friday, 40-hour/week, day shift schedule with the potential for overtime. This person will be responsible for maintaining a safe work environment by auditing safety performance, revising safety policies and procedures as needed along with writing new ones. Candidate may be required to train employees on updated policies and procedures that are put in place.
Requirements:
- Associate's Degree, Safety or related field, OSHA 10 certification and/or OSHA 30 General Industry certification required. A combination of minimum and preferred experience with some education will be considered.
- 3-5 years of Safety Experience or related discipline within a manufacturing setting is required.
- Previous consumer products industry preferred.
- Strong PC skills including a high level of proficiency in Word, Excel & PowerPoint
- Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and Hazardous Material management concepts and techniques
- Ability to train and educate employees on safety, OSHA, and DOT management concepts.
- Highly organized with the ability to handle confidential information in a discreet manner.
- Ability to function independently and take the initiative until activities are complete.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to function under pressure while handling multiple assignments with various
deadlines. - Ability to Bend/stoop, sit, lift, squat, walk, crouch, reach, and operate keyboard/calculator
are required. - Must be able to pass a Motor Vehicles Records check.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
