What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Controller position at FCA?
The Inventory Controller is responsible for leading teams of hourly, bargaining employees in completing material receiving and counting activities that enable the plant to maintain accurate inventory. This role directly supports daily production, the Inventory Controller is responsible for maintaining data consistency and record integrity for inventory. The Inventory Controller participates in and promotes lean Stellantis Industrial System activities.
Interacts with all levels of the organization including bargaining and non-bargaining hourly and salary employees as well as executive leadership
Responsible for identifying, escalating and participating in root causing receiving and inventory discrepancies, implementing robust countermeasures to minimize impacts to production
Responsible for participating in Inventory Management activities including the Annual Physical Inventory (API) Audit, Excess and Obsolete (E&O) Material Mitigation Activities and Parts Record Integrity
Responsible for Manpower Management including Hourly Bargaining Employee absenteeism, training, performance and Stellantis Industrial System Involvement
Collaborates with Union Leadership to address Team Member concerns
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business or a related field
Ability to work any shift and overtime as required
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent oral and written communication skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite
Public Speaking Skills
Preferred Qualifications:
18 months experience in prior Manufacturing or Supervisory role
Previous experience working in a union environment
Ability to demonstrate lean manufacturing knowledge and application
