FCA Packaging (Timber Creek) creates and manufactures innovative wood packaging solutions. Our builders manufacture wood pallets, boxes, and crates and we are looking for a Truck Driver for our Antigo location.

Overview:

The CDL Truck Driver experience is required to serve our supply chain logistics department safely and on time. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Transporting finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants, retail, or distribution centers
• Inspecting vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues, and performing preventative maintenance
• Planning routes and meeting delivery schedules
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
• Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts
• Input proper information into Geotab and automated systems for each stage of the loading and unloading process when necessary
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
• Collect and verify delivery instructions
• Report defects, accidents, or violations

Qualifications:

• Proven work experience as a CDL Truck Driver
• Experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, Geotab)
• Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
• No recent moving or driving violations
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.)
• Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations
• Valid CDL
• Valid Fed Med Card

Education and/or Experience

• A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Prior experience as a CDL Truck Driver is required
• The candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Language Skills
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents in English, and communicate those effectively. Bilingual skills are preferred, but not required. Professional communication is required.

Mathematical Skills

• Ability to calculate figures and use basic math skills.
• Computer Skills
• To perform this job successfully, an individual should be able to work in a computer system, generating reports and metrics.
• Reasoning Ability
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
