The General Laborer - Yard and Block Plant is responsible for supporting daily yard, warehouse, block plant and production operations through material handling, equipment operation, inventory management, housekeeping, and maintenance activities. This position is designed to provide hands-on training and skill development in the safe operation of front-end loaders, forklifts, yard equipment, and concrete block manufacturing machinery.
The employee will learn to operate and maintain production and material-handling equipment, assist with the manufacturing, storage, and distribution of concrete masonry products, and develop an understanding of quality control, inventory management, workplace safety, and preventative maintenance practices. Under the guidance of experienced supervisors and operators, the employee will gain the knowledge and practical experience necessary to perform production, warehouse, and yard operations safely, efficiently, and independently while supporting the overall goals of the company.
