Reports To: Day Services Manager, Coordinator and/or Director

About the Role:
Favarh is seeking a proactive, creative and energetic Day Services Assistant Manager to support the daily operations of our Day Services programs. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with the Day Services Manager to ensure smooth program delivery, staff coordination, and enhanced opportunities for individuals to achieve their highest level of independence. You’ll help lead teams, coordinate transportation, organize community outings, and maintain compliance with state and agency standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Program Operations & Support:
- Provide daily support to the Day Services Manager in the overall coordination of program operations
- Ensure active treatment and incidental teaching occurs throughout the day
- Coordinate staff coverage, transportation, and program schedules
- Prepare and distribute monthly calendars for in-house and community activities
- Identify and organize volunteer opportunities and innovative programming
- Support team with project assignments and implementation of special events
- Be Flexible within the Department to Provide support at all Day Program locations.
Staff Management & Development:
- Complete daily staffing assignments and adjust as needed
- Audit staff training in Relias; provide support and follow-up for completion
- Support the implementation of positive reinforcement and team-building strategies
- Assist in disciplinary procedures in accordance with agency policy
Documentation & Quality Assurance:
- Audit Therap documentation daily (ISP’s, T-logs, GER’s, etc.)
- Maintain up-to-date files and records for program participants and staff
- Complete Individual Progress reviews and LON updates
- Attend IP meetings and ensure timely documentation submission
- Ensure compliance with DDS quality indicators and support QA and Health & Safety efforts
Systems & Coordination:
- Maintain a caseload of program management responsibilities
- Support department managers as assigned by leadership
- Assist with system improvements and implementation with approval from leadership
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 1–2 years of relevant experience or Associate’s degree with 3 years of experience in Human Services. Experience may be accepted in lieu of Degree.
- Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment
- Familiarity with Relias, Therap, and person-centered planning preferred
- Valid Connecticut driver’s license with a clean driving record
Physical & Work Environment Requirements:
- Ability to stand/walk for 4–6 hours and sit for 1–3 hours
- Must be able to drive for periods and lift to 75 pounds
- Requires bending, twisting, squatting, climbing, and reaching
- Ability to use hands for fine manipulation and operate foot controls
- Work occurs in programs, community, and office settings
- Visual abilities required include close and distance vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
