Duties
- Deliver prepared food from the kitchen to guests’ tables efficiently while maintaining presentation quality.
- Assist servers by bussing tables, clearing dishes, and resetting tables quickly to ensure smooth service flow.
- Handle food handling responsibilities safely, adhering to food safety standards and sanitation protocols.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate timely delivery of orders and special requests.
- Maintain cleanliness in service areas, including side stations and dining spaces, ensuring a welcoming environment.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred, especially with serving or bussing roles.
- Familiarity with food handling, safety procedures, and sanitation standards is essential.
- Experience working with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS will be advantageous.
- Prior banquet or catering experience is a plus, demonstrating ability to handle large-scale service events.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor are critical for providing exceptional guest services.
- Kitchen or culinary experience, including hotel or hospitality settings, can enhance your ability to excel in this role.
- A background in food preparation, cooking, or food safety certifications will support your success as a Food Runner.
