What are the responsibilities and job description for the Refrigeration Technician- 3rd shift position at Farmers Pride Inc?
Job Summary:
The Refrigeration Technician will repair and troubleshoot refrigeration systems. Will be trained on industrial Ammonia refrigeration systems (experience a plus).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain daily preventive maintenance and logs records of the system.
- Inspect, adjust, and monitor refrigeration system for most efficient means of operation.
- Able to work any shift, weekends, holidays, and over-time.
Qualifications and Demands:
- Will be trained for RETA certification.
- 24 hours hazmat training is a plus.
- Electrical motor control or PLC knowledge is beneficial.
- Candidate needs to have good computer skills and knowledge of Word & Excel.
- Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Must be able to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Must be able to handle multiple, conflicting priorities. Must be able to follow directions from a supervisor and/or department Lead. Must be able to interact with coworkers and be a team player. Must be able to understand and follow posted work rules and procedures. Must be able to accept constructive criticism.
- Some repairs are performed with little supervision and limited instruction. Plant service calls are responded to promptly.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and tolerate a cold and hot environment.
- The noise level in the work environment is often noisy. Hearing protection will be needed.
- Candidate must own hand tools.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
A minimum of five years of related experience and/or equivalent training. (Industrial Maintenance)
