Coffee Roasting & Cupping Quality Specialist

If you’re nodding “yes,” you might be our next Coffee Roasting & Cupping Quality Specialist. You’ll transform green coffee into dialed-in roasted product, safeguard flavor through standard cupping procedures, and keep production moving with precision.

• Roasting and blending to exact specifications and profiles.
• Blending SOPs, safe operation of all roasting-department equipment, roast terminology/levels, and cleaning/maintenance routines.
• Visual identification of green/roasted beans and defects; executing sample roasts to target levels; setting and running evaluation tastings.
• Articulating cup characteristics using standard cupping protocols to validate quality.
• Material movement and staging to the right place at the right time.
• Operating all roasting-department assets, including forklifts.
• Following maintenance procedures and completing daily/weekly housekeeping.
• Jumping in to support other departments when needed.

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Complies with Safe Quality Food 2000 Code (SQF 2000 Code).
• Mechanical aptitude and a continuous-improvement mindset for safety and efficiency.
• Clear reading/writing skills; ability to follow verbal and written directions.
• Numeracy for data entry on process monitors and quality specs; basic computer data entry.
• Team-first approach; able to lift up to 70 lbs.

• Forklift Licensed.

• Graveyard shift: Sunday–Thursday, 11:00 PM–7:30 AM.
• Step Pay Program with scheduled increases at established milestones.
• Shift differential for eligible graveyard hours per company policy.
