Fareway’s Corporate IT Support team is seeking a motivated and tech-savvy Help Desk Intern to join our IT department. This internship offers valuable hands-on experience in a professional IT environment, assisting end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and supporting daily IT operations. The 2026 Corporate IT Help Desk Internship duration is anticipated to be from March 2026 thru August 2026 or mutually agreed upon timeframe.
Responsibilities:
• Respond to user inquiries via Teams, phone, email, or in person regarding computer systems, software, and hardware.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
• Assist in setting up new user accounts and configuring workstations.
• Document support requests and resolutions in the help desk ticketing system (Neurons).
• Maintain inventory of IT equipment and supplies.
• Support software installations, updates, and patches.
• Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff when necessary.
• Participate in IT projects and initiatives as assigned.
Skills and Requirements:
• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a college or university program in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of computer systems, mobile devices, and general technology products.
• Familiarity with Windows and/or macOS operating systems.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Customer service-oriented mindset.
• Experience with help desk software and policies.
• Knowledge of computer and network fundamentals.
• Exposure to Microsoft Office Suite.
Additional Details:
• Internship is a paid opportunity.
• Internship typically may be up to 40 hours per work week.
• Internship does not provide housing stipend/allowance.
