About the program

This internship is a full-time, 12-week program (40 hours per week) running from May through August. Interns will gain hands-on professional experience by contributing to meaningful projects that have a direct impact on the business. The program will conclude with a presentation to the senior leadership team, highlighting both the project outcomes and the overall internship experience. Throughout the summer, interns will also gain broad exposure to the organization and its operations.

What You’ll Do

As a Corporate Communications Intern, you’ll contribute to projects that help shape the voice of our company to internal and external audiences. This role is a unique opportunity to get hands-on experience in multiple areas including internal communications, social media, and external communications.

  • Work with the corporate communications team on internal communications, media relations, and social media content planning.
  • Assist with the planning and management of internal communication campaigns.
  • Prioritize a workload of multiple projects from concept to completion.
  • The intern will support all functions of the team with a focus on digital and social media.
  • Additional support for media relations, team organization, and communications content production as needed.
  • Work closely with teams within corporate communications, human resources, marketing and company agencies to plan and implement work.
  • Contribute to real projects that will be implemented within the organization
  • Collaborate with leaders and team members across departments
  • Participate in professional development and networking opportunities
  • Present your project and summer experience to the senior leadership team at the conclusion of the internship
  • Gain a broad understanding of our industry and operations through mentorship, training, and shadowing opportunities

What We’re Looking For

  • Currently enrolled in a college or university program
  • Strong communication, problem solving, and collaboration skills
  • Eagerness to learn and contribute to a mission-driven organization
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) throughout the 12-week program
  • Passionate about writing and communications
  • Ability to multitask with an awareness for timing and urgency
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of AP Style preferred but not required
