Job Summary and Responsibilities

The Marshall St. Landing Clinical Director is responsible for administrative clinical oversight  for Family Tree’s permanent supportive housing (PSH) program, Marshall St. Landing.  This  role will provide clinical assessments to residents of Marshall St. Landing for the purposes of developing treatment plans, crisis interventions as well as provide clinical supervision to case managers and interns.  Marshall St. Landing is an 85 unit PSH program, located in Arvada, Colorado. Marshall St. Landing provides supportive housing to people experiencing chronic homelessness and are at or below 30% area median income.  This is a 24/7 managed complex with on-sight property management. Residents of Marshall St. Landing often have complex needs, including physical health challenges, behavioral health challenges (including substance use and mental health disorders), developmental delays and have experienced chronic homelessness.

The Marshall St. Landing Clinical Director will conduct initial and ongoing assessments as well as develop treatment plans for residents. In addition they will  provide direct oversight of Medicaid billing as well as clinical supervision of case managers and interns.   This role ensures high-quality, client-centered care in compliance with organizational goals, policies, and regulatory standards.

The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of homelessness, supportive housing and the behavioral health challenges often associated with people experiencing homelessness.  They will be able to develop and implement a therapeutic services program at Marshall St. Landing. They will be skilled in the  Medicaid billing process and have an ability to manage the process as well as support and train case managers. They will understand  and be able to implement supportive housing models, harm reduction and trauma informed care practices.  This candidate will embrace Family Tree’s culture of continuous improvement practice as well as our commitment to inclusion.  The candidate must have the ability to communicate and interact in meaningful and impactful ways with people from all backgrounds and those who have different viewpoints.

Supervisory Responsibility

Clinical supervision of case managers and interns, up to eight people. Minimum one year of clinical supervisory experience required.

 

Schedule

Full Time, 40 Hours per week. Evenings and weekends as necessary.

Working Conditions

  • This is an in-office work arrangement. In person work required.
  • Marshall St. Landing Clinical Director must have access to reliable transportation on a daily basis for various off-site meetings.

 

Qualifications:

Responsibilities (example activities)

  • Provide oversight and implementation of Family Tree’s clinical services at Marshall St. Landing. This includes:
    • Conduct clinical assessments at intake and annually
    • Develop treatment plans for residents
    • Support Case Managers in the implementation of treatment plans
    • Ensure billing documentation for Homelessness services is complete, accurate and timely, specifically Medicaid.
    • Provide in-person therapeutic services
    • Respond to behavioral health crisis that may happen in the building
    • Maintain thorough, timely, accurate and objective documentation including: therapy notes, biopsychosocial assessment, treatment reviews, discharge documentation and management of electronic health record charts.
    • Train, support and provide ongoing clinical supervision of case managers.
    • Ensure adherence to Family Tree’s policies and procedures.
    • Adhere to programmatic financial expectations.
    • In partnership with Program Director and Case Managers, develop, implement, and evaluate clinical services to meet resident needs.
    • Participate in regular supervision (by phone/online or in person) with Vice President of Housing.

Required Skills/Competencies

  • Masters degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology or a related field of study; and current Colorado license (e.g. LPC, LCSW, LMFT) and full qualification to provide supervision to unlicensed professionals. Additional salary differential of $1500 for required licensure.  
  • Relationship Management – Experience working with under-resourced, at-risk families and individuals coming from a combination of lived experience and/or professional/educational experience working with vulnerable individuals/families. Ability to create and maintain healthy relationships with other staff members, community partners, and clients.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability- Comfortable navigating the unknown and able to make decisions with limited information. Can easily transition from one task to the next and work in a fast-paced environment that changes frequently.
  • Critical Thinking and Problem Solving-Demonstrate abilities to carry out self-directed tasks with limited supervision. Demonstrate abilities to evaluate implemented plans and address areas of improvement.
  •  Fostering Teamwork and Collaboration- Demonstrate abilities to collaborate with team members, Family Tree Leadership, and partnering agencies leadership to achieve program goals and outcomes. Demonstrate abilities to listen to ideas and communicate ideas and disagreements timely and constructive.
  • Communication- Ability to explain complex and diverse ideas to audiences in written and oral formats.
  • Decision Making- skilled in gathering information, evaluating options, and presenting solutions or courses of action.
  • Organizational Competency- can prioritize and manage workload, manage their time, and have strong attention to detail.
  • Quantitative Reasoning- Skilled in data interpretation including the ability to evaluate and form conclusions from data, including evaluating data for program and agency impact, equity and process improvements.

  • Resourcefulness Knowledge of and ability to navigate Metro Denver area community resources.
  • Leadership to keep self and others motivated, ability to influence others and hold difficult conversations.
  • Bilingual- English/Spanish preferred
  • Change Management- Ability to initiate innovative ideas and influence organizational change within their team.
  • Digital Literacy- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite Programs, HMIS as well as Salesforce Databases.

Salary : $71,351 - $85,655
