Role Description
The Licensed Therapist provides outpatient therapeutic services to individuals experiencing mental illness, substance use disorders, and trauma-related challenges. This role includes conducting comprehensive assessments; delivering individual and group therapy; developing skills and strategies to support recovery; and evaluating treatment effectiveness to ensure progress toward established goals. The therapist works collaboratively with a multidisciplinary treatment team to coordinate care, develop treatment plans, and ensure continuity of services, while also serving as an advocate for members in crisis situations.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include coordinating substance use disorder group reviews, completing and signing off on clinical documentation within required timeframes, collaborating with families and external partners, and connecting members to appropriate community resources. The therapist may also support staff education and community wellness initiatives and must adhere to organizational policies, HIPAA requirements, and productivity standards of 22 clinical hours per week.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates hold a master’s degree or higher in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field, have at least two years of experience in the public behavioral health system (preferably with individuals with serious mental illness), and maintain active licensure in the State of Arizona.
Licensure REQUIRED
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Independent Substance Abuse Counselor (LISAC), Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (LAPC), Licensed Associate Substance Abuse Counselor (LASAC), Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC), Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (LAMFT) preferred
