Job Functions (Tasks/Responsibilities)
Performs, within stated Agency policies and procedures, Clinical Support/Alcohol Safety Staff duties including answering the telephone, routing calls to appropriate personnel, taking messages, informing potential clients about the available services. Primary duty is front desk receptionist so a pleasant demeanor and skilled in customer service is required.
At times may require a flex schedule to accommodate evening group check ins.
Data entry for all new clients and update all client information in computer.
Collecting and verifying client insurance information
Assists supervisor or other clerical staff in the performance of other duties when requested.
Excellent organizational skills a MUST.
Maintains active interest in the development of clerical practice skills, techniques, and capabilities; participates in selected continuing education programs to increase knowledge, understanding and expertise in the primary areas of performance responsibility.
Familiar with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, etc.) an asset
Experience in Medicaid/Medicare/Insurance billing an asset
Spanish speaking is an asset
Good computer skills
Any filing assigned by supervisor
Make screening and intake appointments.
Accept and post to Electronic Medical Record payment from clients.
Will cross-train for other support staff positions, performs relief duties when needed including taking minutes at meetings, helping with payroll, and other tasks as needed.
Performs related tasks as may be assigned.
Performs duties of the Agency mail clerk: sorting, delivering and posting incoming and outgoing mail.
Observing collection of samples for lab urinalysis and completing chain of custody forms

Promptly shares reliable and complete information with supervisor and others who need it.
Demonstrates effective communication methods and skills and use of appropriate lines of authority
Demonstrates attention to others by using active listening skills, e.g., questioning for clarification, paraphrasing, eye contact, etc
Seeks clarification from supervisor when necessary as to the appropriate role of agency staff.
Keeps current by using staff communication systems.
Maintains client and appropriate organizational confidentiality.
Attendance - Is consistently present, punctual, and meets Agency standards. Provides proper advance notification for absence or tardiness.
