If you want a job helping others in our community The Darmstadt Shelter needs reliable people to fill in as needed for various shifts. There is possibility for advancement in this position.
Duties include:
- Fill in for absent staff members in various shifts and duties
- Transport residents to appointments in company vehicle
- Assist in the kitchen as needed
- Answer phone calls, conduct intakes, maintain records and log all activity
Qualifications:
- Must have a valid NYS Driver's License along with reliable transportation
- Must be able to pass CPS Clearance; and be able to clear NYS Justice Center Fingerprinting background clearance
- Good boundaries, communication and organizational skills are necessary
- Must complete Agency's 44 hr. Crisis Training as well as basic First Aid
- An interest and or some experience in human services, working with homeless and mental health populations is helpful
Hours and Pay Rate:
Hours vary based on need and availability
The pay rate is:
$16.97/hour for daytime
$18.97/hour for overnight shifts
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.97 - $18.97 per hour
Expected hours: 1 – 40 per week
Work Location: In person
Salary : $17 - $19
