The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining internal controls, and supporting compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements. This role supervises accounting staff, manages the month-end close process, and partners with CFO to deliver timely, reliable financial data for decision-making.

Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintains accurate accounting records in compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and organizational policies.
  • Oversees purchasing operations and supervises accounting and procurement staff.
  • Prepares and analyzes monthly financial statements, reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
  • Manages payroll compliance, tax reporting (W-2s, 1099s), and benefit-related transactions.
  • Oversees grant and contract financials, including reporting, invoicing, and journal entries.
  • Coordinates annual audit preparation and develops specialized financial reports as needed.
  • Monitors departmental budgets and supports annual budget planning and forecasting.
  • Maintains asset tracking systems and conducts annual inventory reconciliation.
  • Provides leadership, training, and policy development for finance team operations.

Physical Demands: Duties are generally performed in an office environment where hazards and discomforts are controlled and modifiable. This position requires the ability to stand, bend at the waist, kneel, reach over the head, talk, hear, and see. Must be able to move or lift documents and materials weighing up to 30 pounds. Position requires knowledge and use of typical office equipment including telephones, copiers, fax machines, and personal computers. Position requires frequent contact with fellow employees, patients, and community. Position may require travel to other sites for work assignments, meetings, or training.

Qualifications:

Qualifications - Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration required.
  • Certified Public Accountant designation preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience required

Required Vaccines and Test: Influenza, MMR, TB test, and Negative Drug Test results. Additional Vaccines may be required.

Salary : $79,100 - $114,700
