What You'll Actually Be Doing
- Managing books for multiple small business clients (QuickBooks reconciliations, not corporate spreadsheet chaos)
- Processing payroll, invoices, and payments without making people chase you down
- Keeping financial records accurate so our clients can make actual decisions with them
- Helping with month-end and year-end close
- Translating "accounting speak" into normal human language when clients ask questions
- Using your brain to spot patterns, problems, and opportunities in the numbers
- 2 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or payroll experience (we're flexible on the exact background)
- Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks (if you've used QuickBooks Online and Desktop, even better)
- Detail-oriented without being perfectionist-paralyzed (we want "excellent" not "spending 3 hours on a $2 discrepancy")
- Ability to juggle multiple clients without dropping balls or losing your mind
- Good communication skills---you'll be talking to real humans, not just spreadsheets
- **Bonus points:** Tax prep experience (not required, but if you've got it, we'd love to know)
