ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Reliable and punctual attendance is essential; expected to be at job as scheduled each scheduled day.
- Communicate necessary information to others as appropriate.
- Proficiency in accounting software.
- Understand accounting principles, GL accounts, and coding.
- Have an advanced understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable and account reconciliation.
- Demonstrate critical thinking and problem solving skills.
- Process assigned AP Invoices for Hospital and Foundation.
- Reconcile Employee Benefits on monthly basis.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations as assigned by Accounting Manager.
- Prepare and enter general journal entries. Maintain related reconciliations where applicable and assigned.
- Process and monitor nonpatient AR invoices and statements.
- Process patient refunds.
- Back-up the Cash Receipts Accounting Clerk.
- Petty cash management.
- Maintain vendor list, create new vendors and maintain W-9’s for each account.
- Credit card reconciliation.
- Accounts payable vendor statement review and reconciliation.
- AP check run preparation and processing via EFT, ACH, NACHA, and check.
- Maintain electronic supporting documentation within accounting software.
- Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of the job.
- Provide assistance to other members of the Accounting Team as necessary.

Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent preferred. |

Wage Scale: This position starts at $22.00 and goes up based on experience.
