We are a private, not-for-profit organization that coordinates public health grants for a 26-county region in central PA, seeking a Client and Nutrition Assistant to work in the WIC (Women, Infants and Children) Program at our Camp Hill Tapestry of Health location.
Requirements
An ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service, communication, and organization skills; be a team player; and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Previous WIC experience is preferred but not required.
The work week is 37.5 hours per week and may include an occasional evening and weekend. Reliable transportation and a valid PA driver's license are required for travel. The counties covered for local travel can include Perry, Cumberland, Mifflin, and Juniata counties.
This employee will be responsible for scheduling appointments, determining eligibility, collecting data, and performing various duties to ensure the delivery of WIC benefits, nutrition education and breastfeeding support.
Child Protection Clearances (formerly "Act 153 Clearances")
The following clearances and background checks are required upon employment and as a condition of continued employment:
- PA State Police Criminal Record Check (PATCH)
- FBI Criminal Record Check, from fingerprinting
- PA Child Abuse History Clearance (PACA)
