Falmouth Schools Nutrition Services is seeking qualified candidates for a Kitchen Worker position at Falmouth Elementary School.
Job Summary:
To serve students and staff nutritious and appealing meals in a sanitary and efficient manner.
Responsibilities:
-Prepares food for daily meals.
-Operates a computerized Point of Sale system.
-Assists with lunch service and general daily clean up.
-Other duties/responsibilities as assigned by the kitchen manager.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Good customer service skills
- Ability to work quickly, independently, and as a team member in a child-oriented school environment
- Ability to plan ahead and multi-task
- Good math and computer skills
- Experience in a commercial kitchen is a plus
- Baking experience desired
- Sanitation training or willing to attend training
- Ability to lift 40 pounds
- Approved background check (run by the district)
- CHRC authorization through State of Maine Department of Education
Pay and Benefits:
School Year Position is 5.75 hours per day (approximately 8:00 am - 1:45 pm M-F). Pay will be commensurate with experience (current range is $22.18 - $27.51 per hour).
