CNC Laser

Essential Duties

Run parts with minimal supervision
Read detailed prints and shop routing instructions
Have understanding of machine capabilities and functions
Read and understand the measurement values for a tape measure to the 1/32” increment and be able to read a caliper to the .001” increment
Examine and inspect finished product/parts with a variety of precision and inspection measuring instruments
May develop and design jigs and fixtures as required
Modify programming as needed based on inspection of parts
Work with drawings, prints, N/C or CNC tapes, and computer programs to operate CNC, N/C controlled lasers
Setup and operate lasers involving a broad range of material thicknesses
Edit programs, trouble shoot programming issues
Instruct and assist less knowledgeable operators in techniques, making necessary adjustments to hold tolerances and keep the machines operating productively
Read, write, and edit programs as required
Perform all of the above duties on CNC Laser

To have a basic understanding of the ISO Quality and Documentation System
Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformities relating to product, process, and/or quality system
Authority as determined by Management for final disposition of product
Participate as required in quality audits and in developing quality plans
Carry out tasks in a safe manner in accordance with known and/or published safety policies
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

Authority

Effect any change(s) necessary to control and maintain the Falls Fabricating LLC, ISO-9001:2015 Quality System
Initiate corrective and preventive actions as necessary to support ISO-9001:2015 registration/certification
Stop production if any process adversely affects product quality

Education and/or Experience

Manufacturing experience preferred but not necessary for position

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

Constant standing and walking required
Regularly required to bend, stoop, squat, kneel and reach
Regularly required to lift and move materials
