Fall River Health Services is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented HR Generalist to join our Human Resources team. This is an exciting opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys variety and wants to make an impact by supporting our employees throughout every stage of their career.
From recruiting and onboarding to payroll, benefits, employee relations, compliance, and leave administration, you'll play a key role in helping our organization provide exceptional care to our community.
What You'll Do
- Process payroll and ensure payroll tax compliance
- Administer employee benefits, retirement plans, and leave programs
- Coordinate recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding
- Manage FMLA, ADA accommodations, workers' compensation, and other employee leaves
- Provide guidance on HR policies, employee relations, and performance management
- Maintain HRIS records and prepare HR reports
- Support compliance with federal and state employment laws
- Assist with audits, reporting, and HR projects
What We're Looking For
- Experience in Human Resources, Payroll, or Benefits Administration
- Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office
- Healthcare HR experience is a plus

Average pay is $24.20- $28.91 an hour. Will pay more if experience is over 5 years.
Education/Experience/Licensure
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred or
- Minimum 1-3 years of progressive HR experience preferred
- Healthcare or multi-site experience preferred
- HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred
Fall River Health Services (FRHS) is a comprehensive healthcare system, which services Fall River County and the surrounding areas in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota. We are comprised of a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital, 24-hour Emergency Department, Seven Sisters Living Center (LTC), in-house Rural Health Clinic, plus ancillary services.
