What You'll Do:
- Assist residents with daily care like bathing, dressing, toileting, eating, and mobility
- Support rehabilitation and comfort goals from individualized care plans
- Help with transfers, positioning, and mechanical lift use
- Take and record vital signs, health status, and assist with restorative exercises
- Provide compassionate support while maintaining privacy and dignity
- Communicate with nurses and the care team to support resident well-being
- Participate in staff trainings, in-services, and infection control procedures

The Nurse Aide (NA) must be able to:
- Obtain Certified Nursing Assistant .certification through the South Dakota Board of Nursing within 4 months of employment.
- Read, write, and follow both verbal and written instructions
- See and hear well enough to monitor residents’ physical and mental health and notice any changes
- Communicate clearly with residents, families, visitors, and healthcare team members
- Perform medium to heavy lifting, including helping move residents and handling equipment or supplies
- Frequently reach, bend, walk, and stand as part of daily tasks
