Job Summary
Fall River Health Services is seeking a Certified Medication/Nursing Aide (CMA/CNA) to join our team. This hybrid role is responsible for administering medications as directed and providing hands-on care to residents. The CMA/CNA supports daily living activities, delivers basic nursing care, and helps maintain a safe and comfortable environment under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
Key Responsibilities
Medication Aide Duties
- Administer medications (oral, topical, and rectal) in accordance with physician orders, medication administration records (MARs), and under the direction of the Charge Nurse
- Maintain the security of the medication cart and keys throughout the shift
- Accurately document medication administration and report any errors or concerns
- Administer PRN medications only as directed by the Charge Nurse
- Observe and report changes in resident condition or medication responses
- Provide shift updates and communicate effectively with the nursing team
- Assist with the daily care needs of residents as needed
CNA Duties
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene
- Respond to call lights and provide timely assistance
- Assist with meals, including feeding residents and documenting intake/output
- Take and record vital signs, weights, and other required measurements
- Assist with mobility, including transferring, repositioning, and ambulation
- Support routine treatments and specimen collection as directed
- Prepare resident rooms for admissions and maintain clean, safe living spaces
- Report any changes in resident's condition to the supervising nurse
- Participate in team meetings, trainings, and ongoing education
Qualifications
- Current certification as a Medication Aide and Certified Nursing Assistant (or ability to obtain per state requirements)
- Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to providing compassionate, resident-centered care
AvAverage pay is $20.00 -$24.90/hour depending on experience.
