Role Description
We are seeking a Litigation Associate for a full-time, on-site position located in Coral Gables, FL. Responsibilities include handling medical malpractice litigation cases, represent clients in civil litigation and other legal proceedings, providing legal advice, conducting in-depth case research, drafting and reviewing legal documents, engaging in negotiations, take and defend depositions, attend court hearings, mediations, and trial, communicate with clients, expert witnesses, and opposing counsel. Collaboration with other attorneys and legal professionals will be central to your day-to-day responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of Civil Defense Litigation
- Experience in researching legal issues and preparing well-supported legal arguments
- Proficient in drafting and filing motions and pleadings
- Capable of conducting and defending depositions effectively
- Familiarity with court procedures and the ability to represent clients in hearings and trials
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active membership in the Florida Bar
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and manage multiple priorities effectively
- Prior litigation experience is strongly preferred
