Welder/Fabricator
We are hiring a Welder/Fabricator for a hands-on fabrication shop role focused on cutting, fitting, welding, and assembling steel components. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands, takes pride in quality work, and is comfortable in a fast-paced shop environment.
This position is based in a fabrication shop that can be hot and is partly outdoors, so candidates should be comfortable working in changing temperatures and a physical work environment. Spanish-speaking candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Perform welding and fabrication on steel and metal components.
- Measure, cut, grind, drill, fit, and assemble materials based on shop needs.
- Read and follow basic drawings, measurements, layouts, and work instructions.
- Use common fabrication tools and equipment such as grinders, saws, torches, clamps, drills, and measuring tools.
- Fit and prepare materials before welding to ensure proper alignment and quality.
- Inspect finished work for accuracy, strength, and overall quality.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Follow all safety procedures and use proper PPE.
- Assist with general shop duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous welding and/or metal fabrication experience preferred.
- Experience with MIG, Stick, Flux Core, or similar welding processes is a plus.
- Ability to measure accurately and use basic shop math.
- Ability to read basic drawings, layouts, or fabrication instructions.
- Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
- Able to lift, move, and work with steel and other materials in a physical shop environment.
- Comfortable working in a hot shop and partly outdoor work areas.
- Reliable, safety-minded, and willing to work as part of a team.
- Spanish-speaking candidates are very welcome.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate has hands-on welding or fabrication experience, is dependable, and is comfortable working in a shop environment where the work is physical and the conditions can be hot. This person should be willing to jump in where needed, follow directions, and take pride in producing quality work.
Schedule
Full-time position. Schedule may vary based on shop and project needs. Day generally starts around 6am plus half day Saturday overtime.
Work Environment
This is a fabrication shop setting with some outdoor or partially outdoor work areas. The shop can be hot, especially during warmer months. Candidates should be comfortable standing, bending, lifting, grinding, welding, and working around steel fabrication equipment throughout the day.

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
