About the Opportunity
We are seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined Hose Assembly Technician to join a growing industrial operation.
This is a hands-on position responsible for fabricating hydraulic and industrial hose assemblies for customers across construction, manufacturing, transportation, equipment service, and other industrial markets. The ideal candidate enjoys working with tools, can follow measurements and specifications, and takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work.
Previous hydraulic hose experience is highly preferred, but candidates with mechanical assembly, automotive, equipment repair, industrial supply, production, or warehouse experience are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Build hydraulic and industrial hose assemblies according to customer requirements and work orders
- Measure and cut hose to the correct length
- Select the proper hose, fittings, adapters, and components
- Operate hose-cutting and hydraulic crimping equipment
- Install fittings and verify proper crimp specifications
- Inspect completed assemblies for accuracy, cleanliness, and workmanship
- Identify different hose types, fitting styles, thread types, and connection sizes
- Assist customers and coworkers with product selection and replacement hose needs
- Maintain accurate inventory and organize hose, fittings, and related components
- Receive, stock, and pull materials as needed
- Keep the assembly and warehouse areas clean, organized, and safe
- Follow established safety procedures and quality standards
- Support additional warehouse, counter, or production responsibilities when needed
Qualifications
- Previous hose assembly, hydraulic, mechanical assembly, automotive, industrial, production, or warehouse experience preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Comfortable using hand tools, measuring tools, saws, crimpers, and other shop equipment
- Ability to read work orders and follow detailed instructions
- Ability to measure accurately
- Strong attention to detail
- Dependable attendance and a positive attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable assisting customers in a fast-paced industrial environment
- Ability to safely lift and move hoses, fittings, and industrial materials
Preferred Experience
- Hydraulic or industrial hose fabrication
- Hose crimping equipment
- Hydraulic fittings and adapters
- Automotive, diesel, forklift, or heavy-equipment parts
- Industrial distribution or MRO products
- Inventory control
- Counter sales or customer service
