Job description
Responsible for cleaning and stocking hotel guest rooms with appropriate supplies. The room attendant is responsible for changing the linens and towels, making beds, scrubbing of the bathroom, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, washing windows, mirrors and walls, removing trash, placing of amenities, etc. Must make sure the television, telephone, heating/air conditioning, and lights are working. Must report any problems to the housekeeping supervisor immediately. Must respond and resolve housekeeping requests and complaints by guests in a timely manner. Must be courteous to all guests. Must practice safe work habits and comply with sanitary, safety, security and emergency procedures. All other duties as assigned.
Cleaning of the guest rooms in accordance to Hilton standards
- Cleaning of public areas and back of the house
- Ensuring compliance with accident/loss prevention programs
- Accounting for inventory controls and ensuring proper supplies
- Responding to guest requests, concerns and problems to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Log items into the Lost and Found and answer inquires to maintain controls and ensure guest satisfaction
- Assisting other staff in the performance of duties to include: cleaning of lobby, turndown service, trash removal
- Performing special projects, deep cleaning and other responsibilities as assigned
