QUALIFICATIONS/ABILITIES:
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or the equivalent in relevant work experience, is required.
- Must have passed the Uniform Certified Public Accountant Examination and have met additional state education and experience requirements for certification as a CPA.
- 10 years of experience, including 3 years in a leadership role, in accounting, finance, or accounting systems; public accounting experience is welcomed but not required.
- Expertise in manufacturing cost accounting, month-end close processes and financial reporting, is required. Experience with food manufacturing is preferred but not required.
- Extensive knowledge of financial management to budget, audit, and analysis of financial status.
- Expertise in financial statement preparation in accordance with GAAP
- Experience with various accounting software administration
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively
- Proven effective project management skills.
- Ability to manage time through multi-tasking. Must be flexible and work well under pressure and easily adapt to change.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills; an ability to assimilate knowledge, and then take appropriate action.
- Ability to work onsite full-time
RESPONSIBILITIES – HOW THIS POSITION SUPPORTS THE VISION include the following, but are not limited to:
- Support CFO with management of all accounting operations and processes
- Coordinate and assist with the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts and report key variances and highlights
- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements for all assigned entities
- Create financial plan, in collaboration with operational leaders, to support current and future business needs and identify opportunities to improve profitability
- Effectively lead, coach and develop assigned team, and foster a healthy culture consistent with company values
- Review work performed by team members to ensure all reporting and analysis is complete, accurate and complies with GAAP
- Coordinate and assist with the preparation of regulatory reporting including annual and periodic audits
- Research technical accounting issues for compliance
- Lead month-end and year-end close process
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements
- Work closely with external accounting firms to ensure all tax and audit requirements are satisfied
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Maintain regular contact with other departments to obtain and convey information and/or to correct transactions.
- Keep management informed of area activities and of any significant opportunities
- Additional duties as assigned.

Fait will provide resources and support, relevant to the position, for education and training as needed. It is the Associate’s responsibility to seek approval, schedule and participate in education and/or training that will prepare him/her for present and future needs. A post training recap may be required.
