Your Role:
As a Security Officer, you will play an essential role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for everyone in the hospital – from patients to staff to visitors. Your actions will have a direct impact on the safety of our community, ensuring that M Health Fairview continues to provide the high-quality care we’re known for.
What you’ll be doing:
Safeguard the community by patrolling designated areas and responding quickly to incidents, ensuring the security of patients, staff, and visitors.
Prevent theft and vandalism through proactive surveillance and reporting.
Use your de-escalation skills and conflict resolution techniques to handle difficult situations with professionalism and calm.
Respond to high-risk situations, all while staying focused on keeping the environment safe and maintaining excellent customer service standards.
Document daily activities accurately and professionally to keep everyone in the loop and ensure proper follow-up.

Schedule:
1.0 FTE (80 hours per pay period)
Evening/Night shift (7 PM - 730 AM)
Every other weekend
What We’re Looking For:
Required:
Experience: 2 years of security, customer service, or military experience OR an Associate’s degree and 1 year of security/customer service experience OR a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
License/Certification: Valid Class D Driver’s License and a clean DMV record.
Preferred:
Previous hospital security experience.
Certifications like Certified Peace Officer (POST) or Emergency Med Tech Basic (EMT-B).
