Fairviewis looking for a Service and Product Assistant at the University of MN Health Clinics and Surgery Center in Minneapolis, MN. This is a casual position, meaning all hours are as needed; we are primarily looking for someone whou can work 5a-9a.or 4p-8p.
The Service and Product Assistant position has the responsibility of distributing and delivering materials, supplies and equipment as well as loading/unloading and packing/unpacking materials, supplies and equipment. It will also include the cleaning of Medical equipment.
Responsibilites:
Maintain accurate inventory levels of medical supplies, linen, and equipment, including routine cycle counts and removal of expired or recalled items.
Apply inventory control principles, calculate and recommend par level adjustments, and report discrepancies such as stock-outs or defects.
Coordinate supply shipments, deliveries, and restocking for multiple locations, using computer systems for tracking and reporting.
Identify, clean, and maintain medical equipment and instruments, including performing gross decontamination and proper routing.
Review surgical schedules to ensure appropriate preparation and rotation of medical supplies and instruments.
Respond promptly and professionally to supply requests, clearly communicating via phone, email, and in person.
Distinguish between emergency and routine requests to ensure timely and appropriate fulfillment.
Required Qualifications
- One year, or less, comparable materials or related experience and/or extensive knowledge of medical hardware/software and medical supplies through formal education channels
- Independent use of computers including data entry
