What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Analyst II position at Fairview Health Services?
The Revenue Cycle Charge Capture team is hiring for a business analyst II position, who serves as the process owner for management tools and processes that are accurate, effective and accessible. This role designs and constructs the needed process and information management tools, and acts as the subject matter expert in the administration, communication, coordination, measurement and timely delivery of information to leadership.
Job Functions:
- Develops and maintains relationships with key partners to research and develop potential solutions to systematic issue
- Summarize findings and opportunities identified in the data to support leadership decision making
- Defines and co-develops business requirements that allows for optimization of the system to enhance operational workflows
- Research, documents, and facilitates resolution to issues reported by end-users
- Outlines requirements for new analytic tools including necessary fields, appropriate calculations, data definitions, and integration points.
- Applies critical thinking knowledge to core functions to take action and ensure escalation of system problems and operational needs
- Supports the creation of educational materials for staff and process improvement
- Facilitates meetings, ensuring stakeholder engagement, appropriate and timely information, and tracking methodologies. Supports organizational strategies, priorities, and initiatives
- Utilizes standards of practice to ensure regulatory and compliance policies are upheld.
- Possess thorough understanding of project planning. Develops plan for small projects. May lead efforts to ensure continuous process improvement and high reliability process, policy, and educational materials
- Tests, identifies new conditions to test, and analyzes results of testing of new workflows and system functionalities to ensure that it meets operational requirements. Ensure that automation in past builds is included in future builds
- Develops designs and maintains visuals and/or reports that may be related to workflows, schedules, and other collateral documents as requested by leadership.
- Investigates, compiles, analyzes, accurately interprets, and validates data
- Acts as a point of contact/subject matter expert for application process and maintains a strong understanding of system functionality, software applications, and business workflow and objectives to appropriately interpret data and support leadership decision making.
- Create IT tickets for work needed with requirements outlining the work needed to be complete. Providing updates to the operational owners on status and next steps.
- Test new functionality to ensure that it meets the operational requirements. Ensure that automation in past builds is included in new build.
- Assist operations in creating self-service reporting. Reports should be utilized to monitor employee productivity and effectively manage the business. Assist in the creation of scorecards and dashboards when multiple components are needed to be monitored. Provide guidance on additional metrics to include.
- Identify improvement opportunities and partner with Operations to implement them. Improvement opportunities items including but not limited to system automation and process simplification.

The posted pay range is for a 40-hour workweek (1.0 FTE). The actual rate of pay offered within this range may depend on several factors, such as FTE, skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions. Salary : $76,211 - $107,598
