Fairport Rehab & Nursing Center, a 142-bed Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Facility, is seeking a skilled and motivated Custodian to join our evening shift team. With over 100 years of experience, we provide personalized care that makes a real difference in our community. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for performing Cleaning and Janitorial duties.
Responsibilities:
- Answer calls
- Perform general facility cleaning (rooms, corridors, offices, public areas)
- Maintain floor care: mopping, stripping, waxing, vacuuming, and carpet shampooing
- Clean stairwells, windows, dust high and low surfaces, and sanitize restrooms
- Clean floor mats and kitchen/pantry areas
- Mix chemical cleaners as directed
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment
- Assist with basic maintenance tasks (TV issues, bed issues, minor floods, etc.)
- Sidewalk snow removal and salting
- Collaborate with interdepartmental staff to ensure residents’ needs are met
- Seek and implement improved methods and practices
- FIxed Rate: $21.00/Hour
- Full Time, 37.5 hours
- Shift: 3pm-11pm
- Location: Fairport, NY
- Previous floor cleaning experience is a plus
- Ability to lift and move equipment and work in varying weather conditions
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
