Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly, answer phone calls with professionalism, and schedule appointments efficiently using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Point Click Care.
- Manage visitors and vendors check-in and check-out processes
- Maintain and organize medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies, ensuring all documentation review and filing are completed promptly.
- Support clinical staff by preparing thinning resident charts, filing on units as needed and making copies, etc.
- Generate phone lists, etc as needed by facility.
- Handle electronic health records (EHR) management across Point Click Care while maintaining high levels of accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
Skills
- Proven experience in medical office administration or clinical reception roles within healthcare settings such as clinics or dental offices.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medical coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), CPT coding, and health information management practices.
- Excellent customer service skills paired with phone etiquette and professional communication abilities.
- Proficiency in computer skills including typing (10 key typing), Microsoft Office Suite, and familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Meditech.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in documentation review and filing processes.
- Bilingual capabilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively.
- Knowledge of health insurance procedures, Medicare guidelines, clinical confidentiality policies, and medical billing practices is preferred.
