Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable, personable Front Desk Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our patients. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and delivers outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities
- Answer phones, schedule appointments, and check patients in and out
- Collect copays, balances, and payments at time of service
- Review patient lists and proactively call to schedule appointments when due
- Verify patient demographics and insurance information at every visit
- Schedule, coordinate, and track patient referrals and pre-authorizations
- Maintain compliance with OSHA and DOH standards
- Safeguard patients' demographic, clinical, and financial information in accordance with practice and HIPAA guidelines
- Provide superior customer service and outstanding patient care
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior front desk, medical office, or customer service experience preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Familiarity with scheduling or EMR software a plus
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
