Part-time Housekeeper

Fairfield Inn and Suites Arkadelphia is currently searching for some part-time housekeepers in Arkadelphia, AR. We hire all at $12 an hour.

Things to to think about before applying:

This is a DAY TIME position. WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS are required. You arrive at 9am Monday through Friday and at 9:30am on Saturday and Sunday. You leave when you are finished with your assigned work duties. Most days people finish between 2-4pm. However, some days can be longer depending on business volume.

We realize housekeeping isn't for everyone. It is physically demanding. It requires a lot of manual labor and moving with a sense of urgency. If you are not an assertive self starter, this is not the position for you.

Reliable transportation is very important.

The fundamentals that we look for:

Adults have to adult.

Show up and show out.

Don't self glorify.

Overall Responsibilities will be discussed in the interview as well. Basically - the hotel is dirty when you arrive, it is clean to the standards of Marriott when you depart.

Job Title: Hotel Housekeeper Position Summary

The Hotel Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and welcoming environment for guests by servicing guest rooms and common areas. This role plays a key part in ensuring a positive guest experience by meeting high standards of cleanliness and hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and service assigned guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing bathrooms
• Replace linens, towels, and amenities according to hotel standards
• Restock room supplies such as toiletries, coffee, and minibar items
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damaged items to management
• Clean and maintain common areas such as hallways, lobbies, and laundry rooms
• Follow proper handling procedures for chemicals and cleaning equipment
• Adhere to hotel policies, procedures, and safety standards
• Provide courteous and professional service when interacting with guests

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred but not required
• Ability to work independently and efficiently
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
• Good time management and organizational skills
• Physical ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks

Work Environment

• Fast-paced hospitality setting
• Requires extended periods of standing, walking, and lifting (up to 25–50 lbs)
• Will include weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts
