Laundry Attendant

Overview

Join our dynamic hotel team as a Laundry Attendant and play an essential role in creating a clean, comfortable, and welcoming experience for every guest. In this hands-on position, you’ll be responsible for processing hotel linens and towels efficiently while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organization, and sanitation.This is a great opportunity for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, and enjoys staying active throughout their shift. Your work behind the scenes directly supports our housekeeping team and ensures our guests receive the quality and comfort they expect.

Duties

• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and organize hotel linens, towels, bedding, and other laundry items
• Operate commercial washers and dryers safely and according to established procedures
• Inspect linens for stains, damage, or excessive wear and separate items requiring additional treatment or replacement
• Properly measure and use laundry chemicals and cleaning products while following safety and sanitation guidelines
• Maintain appropriate linen levels and ensure clean laundry is organized and available for the housekeeping team
• Keep the laundry room, equipment, storage areas, and surrounding workspaces clean and organized
• Clean lint traps, equipment surfaces, floors, and other laundry areas throughout the shift
• Assist with transporting clean and soiled linens between laundry, housekeeping, and storage areas
• Notify management of equipment issues, supply shortages, damaged linens, or maintenance concerns
• Follow hotel cleanliness, safety, sanitation, and infection-prevention procedures
• Assist the housekeeping team with additional duties when needed during busy periods
• Work efficiently to ensure laundry production keeps pace with daily hotel occupancy and housekeeping needs

Skills

• Previous hotel laundry, housekeeping, janitorial, custodial, or commercial cleaning experience is preferred but not required
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, physically active environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
• Excellent time-management and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a team
• Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull laundry bags, linen carts, and supplies
• Comfortable standing, bending, reaching, and performing repetitive tasks throughout the shift
• Ability to follow instructions regarding laundry chemicals, equipment operation, and workplace safety
• Dependable attendance and a positive, professional attitude
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays based on hotel occupancy and business needs
