Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of assigned areas, including floors, restrooms, offices, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies
• Ensure all surfaces are sanitized according to OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards and environmental service protocols
• Maintain cleanliness of floors through proper floor care techniques such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and carpet cleaning when necessary
• Restock supplies like paper towels, soap dispensers, and trash bags to ensure continuous availability for users
• Follow detailed sanitation procedures to uphold health standards in high-touch areas and sensitive environments such as hospitals or clinics
• Operate janitorial equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to safety guidelines and environmental policies
• Conduct routine inspections to identify areas needing attention and report any maintenance issues promptly

Experience

• Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or healthcare settings preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to workplace safety and cleaning procedures is highly desirable
• Experience with environmental services or hospital cleaning practices is a plus
• Familiarity with floor care techniques including stripping, sealing, waxing, and carpet extraction enhances your candidacy
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow detailed cleaning protocols accurately
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
