What are the responsibilities and job description for the Guest Room Attendant position at Fairfield Inn & Suites?
Overview
Responsible for the cleanliness, arrangement, and supply of guest rooms to ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction possible
Essential Functions:
Provide the highest level of service to the guest at all times
Ensure guest satisfaction by providing a clean, sanitary, and inviting hotel room for the guest
Clean 16 rooms per day following the company housekeeping guidelines within an eight hour day while maintaining established standards (average of 28 minutes per room)
Make bed with clean linen and place clean linen in bathrooms daily
Clean guest rooms and bathrooms
Replace and add required supplies in guest rooms
Vacuum and spot clean carpeting; Clean windows and doors
Clean and check fixtures, television, radio, and heating/cooling equipment for proper operation
Set heating/cooling equipment and radio to proper settings
Inspect room for maintenance needs and report on maintenance service requests
Perform general clean duties and changing of bedspreads, blankets, mattress pads, and shower curtains as assigned
Empty and clean vacuums
Keep cart stocked, neat, clean and orderly
Report room status throughout the day; Complete assignment sheets
Repeated bending, stooping and lifting/moving weights up to 30 lbs. as well as prolonged standing/walking
Provide assistance to other Hotel Associates to contribute to the smooth operation of the department and hotel
All other duties as assigned by a supervisor, of which you are capable
Customer Service Standards:
Acknowledge a guest immediately with a smile and a friendly greeting using 10 foot rule
Handle guest requests immediately; Take initiative to offer assistance or answer questions throughout the hotel
Stop personal/business conversations among Associates in order to assist guests
Demonstrate self-confidence, energy and enthusiasm
Offer improvement ideas and acknowledge good performance of others
Practice safety standards at all times
Comply with all rules and regulations of the company and those as outlined within the Associate Handbook
Wear proper uniform and name tag at all times in accordance with the Standards of Appearance
Provide a professional image for our guests by keeping a proper attitude toward co-workers, promoting teamwork, and helping to maintain cleanliness and orderliness in all areas of the hotel
Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
