Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents
- Handle chemical agents safely by following safety data sheets (SDS) and proper handling procedures
- Conduct floor cleaning tasks including vacuuming, mopping, and polishing to maintain pristine floor conditions
- Manage heavy lifting tasks related to moving furniture, supplies, or cleaning equipment with proper manual handling techniques
- Ensure sanitation standards are met consistently by adhering to hotel procedures and industry best practices
- Respond promptly to guest requests and inquiries with a friendly and professional attitude
- Maintain cleanliness logs, safety documentation, and report any maintenance or safety issues immediately
Experience
- Previous hotel housekeeping experience or custodial experience is highly preferred
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning methods and janitorial equipment is advantageous
- Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols is beneficial
- Experience handling chemical agents safely and understanding safety data sheets (SDS) is essential
- Demonstrated ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while maintaining safety standards
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude towards guest interactions
- Background in hospitality or hotel housekeeping management is a plus
