What are the responsibilities and job description for the Stageing position at FAIRFIELD CHAIR CO?
Overview:
The stageing position is responsible for pairing the fabric and poly with the furniture frame and getting it ready for the upholstery department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Pair fabric bundle and poly to frame
- Prepare the floor for what orders are needed for the day
- Read tickets to see what is needed for each furniture piece
- Communicate within multiple departments for an efficient flow throughout the plant
- Ability to identify shortages to meet goals and report those issues
- Cross train in multiple departments
Qualifications:
- Effective communication & interpersonal skills required to build relationships across the business
- Must have some computer skills and ability to use a scanner
- Effective verbal, listening and written communication skills
- Effective organizational, stress and time management skills
- Demonstrates a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently or as a team member
- Ability to read work instructions
Physical Requirements:
- Standing, walking, bending for an 8-hour shift
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Regular use of hands and fingers to handle, control, or feel objects
- Move products from upholstery locations to finished products
