What are the responsibilities and job description for the Order Entry/Editing Specialist position at FAIRFIELD CHAIR CO?
The position is to edit orders daily and learn the Order Entry process to be a backup to the team as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Verify order details such as frame numbers, finishes, fabric numbers/colors, quantities, any extras requested (nails, special cushions, etc.) along with any shipping information or instructions.
- Identify and note any discrepancies and pass along to our dept who makes changes to ensure everything is correct before order is placed into the factory to begin production.
- Sort/distribute/file all paperwork from the orders each day.
- Communicate with the customer or sales representative as need either by phone or email on any questions that arise that have not been addressed.
- Escalate complex problems to Supervisor when needed.
Qualifications Requirements:
- Communicate effectively and professionally by phone or in writing
- Able to complete moderately difficult mathematical calculations
- Ability to handle large call volumes in an effective and timely manner
- Self-motivated with the ability to work with limited supervision in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to deal with confidential information and meet strict deadlines
- Microsoft Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook, AS400
- Good interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills; read/write materials in English
- Good phone skills and accurate typing

perception, and the ability to adjust focus - The employee is required to talk and hear
