Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, floor care, and sanitation of surfaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents.
• Handle laundry operations efficiently, including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and storing linens and guest clothing items while adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines for chemical handling.
• Maintain cleanliness in public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and common spaces by executing janitorial tasks with precision.
• Operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively, including vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and industrial cleaning tools.
• Follow hotel housekeeping management procedures to ensure consistency in service quality and compliance with safety protocols.
• Manage heavy lifting tasks related to linen carts or cleaning supplies while practicing manual handling safety procedures.
• Respond promptly to guest requests or concerns related to housekeeping services with a friendly and professional attitude, ensuring excellent customer service at all times.

Experience

• Previous experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles is highly preferred; familiarity with hotel emergency procedures is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability in industrial cleaning or janitorial experience that includes handling chemical agents safely and effectively.
• Knowledge of hotel housekeeping management practices and sanitation standards is advantageous.
• Experience with floor care techniques such as stripping, sealing, waxing, or polishing floors is desirable.
• Strong understanding of safety data sheets (SDS) for chemical agents used in cleaning processes.
• Ability to perform physical tasks involving heavy lifting and manual handling comfortably while maintaining safety standards.
• Excellent customer service skills combined with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within a hospitality environment.
