Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Hotel Housekeeper to maintain cleanliness and orderliness in guest rooms and public areas of our hotel. The ideal candidate will ensure a welcoming environment by providing exceptional cleaning services, adhering to safety and hygiene standards, and contributing to a positive guest experience. Previous experience in hospitality or janitorial services is preferred, but training will be provided for the right candidate. This role is vital in upholding the hotel's reputation for cleanliness and comfort.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize guest rooms, bathrooms, and public areas following established protocols
- Change bed linens, make beds, and replenish supplies such as towels and toiletries
- Vacuum, sweep, mop floors, and perform floor care to maintain a pristine appearance
- Perform detailed cleaning tasks including dusting, window washing, and furniture polishing
- Handle laundry duties including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and towels
- Report maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning to management
- Follow safety procedures related to chemical handling and equipment use
- Maintain cleanliness of storage closets and supply carts for efficient operations
Requirements
- Proven experience in cleaning, custodial work, or hospitality preferred; janitorial or industrial cleaning experience is a plus
- Knowledge of floor care techniques and hotel housekeeping standards
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality service
- Excellent time management skills to complete assigned tasks within designated shifts
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and perform repetitive cleaning motions
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends or holidays if required
- Prior hotel experience or housekeeping management background is advantageous but not mandatory
