Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning and sanitization of patient rooms, common areas, restrooms, and administrative spaces using appropriate cleaning agents and techniques.
- Follow established protocols for infection control and sanitation to prevent the spread of germs and maintain a sterile environment.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and carpet cleaners safely and effectively.
- Maintain proper disposal of waste materials in accordance with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards and facility policies.
- Restock supplies such as paper products, hand sanitizers, and cleaning materials to ensure continuous availability.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines related to chemical handling, equipment use, and environmental services procedures.
- Collaborate with other hospital or facility staff to address specific cleaning needs or special requests promptly.
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in healthcare or hospitality environments is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations related to workplace safety and chemical handling is essential.
- Experience with commercial cleaning equipment and floor care techniques is preferred.
- Knowledge of sanitation standards specific to hospital or clinical settings enhances job performance.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
