Job Summary
The Social Service/Laundry secretary is responsible for typing all correspondence from the directors as needed. The secretary maintains the department's policy and procedure book, and the position requires the ability to maintain all records and files. The employee also works on computer programs such as the Microsoft suite. Telephone skills are very important as both departments receive calls from the nursing units and resident family members. The position is also responsible for the input of all employee hours for payroll and input of orders/invoicing for the SAP computer program to generate requisitions for all invoicing, orders, etc.
Responsibilities
- Types memos, incident reports, etc.
- Inputs departmental payroll.
- Answers phones, screens, and directs all incoming calls.
- Maintains all paperwork for requisitions up to the completion of the requisition.
- Maintains attendance records for departments.
- Maintains files for departments.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Skills
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Must have at least 2 years of prior secretarial experience.
- Must be computer literate and maintain professional phone etiquette.
- Must be able to lift 20lbs.
Pay: $22.70 - $27.34 per hour
