What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patent Associate – Mechanical or Chemical Engineering (Indianapolis) position at Faegre Drinker?
Faegre Drinker is seeking a junior patent associate with an engineering background to join our dynamic Intellectual Property practice in our Indianapolis office.
The ideal candidate will have:
• 1-3 years of patent prosecution experience (as an agent or attorney).
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Graduate degree a plus.
• Demonstrated experience working with mechanical technologies.
• The ability to handle chemical or materials science patent applications as needed.
• Strong academic credentials and excellent written and oral communication skills.
• USPTO and admission to a state bar from a relevant state (or wave-in capability) required.
