Packaging Supervisor

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Packaging Supervisor to lead our packaging operations and ensure the efficient, safe, and compliant assembly of products. Duties

• Supervise and coordinate all packaging activities on the production floor, ensuring timely completion of orders while maintaining quality standards.
• Lead a team of packaging operators, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback to optimize efficiency and safety.
• Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, CGMP guidelines, and other relevant safety protocols throughout all packaging processes.
• Oversee the setup, operation, and troubleshooting of packaging machinery controlled by programmable logic controllers (PLCs), ensuring smooth operation.
• Conduct regular inspections of packaging lines to identify issues, perform routine maintenance or escalate repairs as needed.
• Utilize hand tools and mechanical knowledge to perform minor repairs or adjustments on equipment to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate documentation of production records, batch logs, and quality control reports in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with warehouse staff to manage inventory levels of packaging materials and finished products.
• Ensure all team members adhere to safety procedures including proper use of forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement by analyzing workflow processes and implementing best practices for manufacturing efficiency.

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge with experience operating hand tools for equipment maintenance or adjustments.
• Proficiency in working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for machinery control and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of FDA regulations, CGMP standards, and pharmaceutical or biotech packaging requirements to ensure compliance.
• Experience in manufacturing environments with a focus on packaging operations.
• Familiarity with warehouse procedures including inventory management and forklift operation.
• Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team in a fast-paced setting while maintaining high safety standards.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation accuracy and process adherence.
• Hands-on experience with assembly processes related to product packaging or manufacturing lines.
